This thesis focuses on a select group of senior secondary school students and their Internet-based practices. Research was conducted to explore the intersection of the participants’ values when they considered their educational and Internet-based contexts. To investigate the phenomenon surrounding this research topic, I interviewed and observed eight secondary school students. The research explored the participants’ online and educational cultural practices and the values formed within those contexts. A comparison was then drawn between those values and practices, as well as the impact they had on each other.
