These are the land model benchmarking results for the Energy
Exascale Earth System Model version 1.1 (E3SMv1.1) coupled
biogeochemistry outputs from CMIP6 historical simulations compared
with multi-model CMIP5 historical simulations. The benchmarking
results were generated using the International Land Model
Benchmarking package version 2.5 (ILAMBv2.5). While the CMIP5 model
results were obtained from the Earth System Grid Federation (ESGF),
the E3SMv1.1 model results included in this analysis were produced
from the raw model output using the workflow script at https://github.com/rubisco-sfa/elm2ilamb_wkflow. The script includes the functions of time serialization, conservative regridding and cmorization. The Earth System Modeling Framework (ESMF) "ESMF_RegridWeightGen" tool was used for generating weights for interpolating from the E3SM's cubed sphere grid to a regular lat/lon grid.
