Under the EU FP7 HELCATS (helcats-fp7.eu) project, an automated back propagation algorithm has been developed to associate CMEs to solar flare events and their solar surface sources. CME kinematics are compared to active region magnetic field properties. The algorithm has been run on the HELCATS HICAT catalogue of over 2,000 events observed by STEREO/SECCHI-HI between 2007 and 2017, creating the LOWCAT catalogue. A more detailed description of the algorithm will follow with a publication currently under preparation.

The LOWCAT catalogue can be downloaded here in several formats; .json, .txt., or an IDL .sav containing a structure. Also included is a property description file as well as a more in depth description of the algorithm.

The paper associated with this catalogue is Murray et al, 2018, ''Connecting Coronal Mass Ejections to their Solar Active Region Sources: Combining Results from the HELCATS and FLARECAST Projects", Solar Physics, doi:10.1007/s11207-018-1287-4 (https://arxiv.org/abs/1803.06529).

Note that the code used to create this catalogue, originally developed by P. Zucca can be found on GitHub (https://github.com/sophiemurray/lowcat), as well as the code used to analyse the results from the associated paper (https://github.com/sophiemurray/helcats-flarecast).
