Graphite oxide (GO) desalting using fluidized bed reactor

thesis
posted on 2018-06-29, 02:00 authored by CHINMAY ARUN SONAWANE
In this research, fluidized bed reactor with an on-line waste water monitoring system is used for desalting graphite oxide (GO). The process efficiency in terms of the desalting time, amount of water used for desalting, amount of GO lost and the cost of production of GO are determined. Desalination process is constantly monitored by change in pH due to removal of acidic ions. The desalting time per gram of graphite oxide was reduced by more than 100 times thus reducing the GO production cost.
