Globalization is a phenomenon whose recent intensification has clearly transformed the world in the past decades. Driven by the technological and informatic revolutions, globalization began to use instruments such as the Internet to revolutionize the way people guide their lives: entertainment, comunication, consumption, labor, study. These are aspects of life that were distincly affected by the fast dynamics imposed by the globalizing phenomena. Law, inside a socialpolitical and phenomenological context, rises as a target of these changes. However, at the same time, it is a protagonist of this social transformation process, considering Law tries to understand these phenomena, becoming an important control mechanism to rule this relentless process and supress its potential trespasses. The purpuses of this article are to renovate the need of a phenomenological application of Law, through an application which is mindful of reality’s events, such as the development of globalization and Internet; and to analyse some of the juridic consequences caused by globalization through the Internet, notably those related to the modern consumption, driven by e-commerce, and the manifestations of citizenship through the social networks and other politicization mechanisms. Through a bibliographic, documental and historical reserach, this article aims to provide an actual and useful diagnosis to Law’s scientists.
