Gac mutations are prevalent in HgR populations across all selective regimes. The proportion of HgR (ratio of HgR counts over HgS counts) was plotted for each replicate population across the six selection treatments (line). Shaded region represents prevalence of Gac- phenotypes within each HgR population. Grey bars indicate transfers where mercury was applied. Colours represent each pulsed mercury treatment.
