Experimental arrangement for habituating the touch-induced C-start in zebrafish larvae.

The agarose was removed from the tail to allow it to move freely. Agarose was also removed from part of the head to allow for electrical or mechanosensory stimulation of the head. Responses of the larvae to either electrical stimulation or water pulses were recorded using a high-speed video camera.
