Effect of adenosine on glycogenolysis after hepatic glycogen depletion.

Mice were fed ad libitum or fasted for 12 h before the experiment. Blood was collected from the tail vein just before injection (A) and at 30 min post subcutaneous injection with PBS or 25 mg/kg bodyweight adenosine (B). Glycogen content of the liver was measured at 30 min post injection (C). Values are presented as the mean ± SEM (n = 5–6). Groups without a common letter significantly differ (p < 0.05).
