This poster acts as a simple rubric for evaluating the quality of scientific evidence presented in a report of scientific findings (whether published journal article or a media report). Can be printed as in business-card size for easy dissemination (e.g., to students).

The Checklist highlights 5 key points for evaluation of scientific evidence.
• Essay writers and science communicators can use the Checklist as a rubric for their own science writing.
• Readers (and markers) can use the Checklist to evaluate whether scientific evidence is presented with enough information to be valuable to the reader.

The checklist was developed over several years of tutoring Undergraduate Psychology students at the University of Oxford. Graphic style makes the Checklist more memorable than a simple list.
