Digital pedagogy in three parts: screencasting, course blog, remote guests

<p>As presented in Boston University's Fourth Annual Instructional Innovation Conference, March 1st, 2012.</p> <p>Describes the digital pedagogy strategy used by the author in her freshman Introduction to Engineering module titled "Bio-Aerial Locomotion." The strategy is based on three elements: (i) class presentation using digital inking and media-rich slides, live recording of screencasts and open online dissemination; (ii) a course blog, with student assignments publicly available online; (iii) a program of distinguished invited speakers participating in the course via Skype.</p> <p>The course screencasts, recorded live, are available freely from iTunes U.
