Emergence of the developmental connectome from 265 to 400 minutes of C. elegans embryogenesis, shown in network form and on a virtual model of the adult hermaphrodite. The connectome is visualized for each timepoint 1) neuronal positions in a virtual images the adult worm, 2) as embryonic neurons (their immediate developmetnal cell precursors) in spatial context (all developmental cells in the embryo), and 3) in a model-free presentation of all neurons born during pre-hatch development.
