Deaths in fires in buildings: an analysis of the city of Recife in 2011

Abstract: This article discusses the fires in buildings that have caused deaths in the city of Recife in 2011, realizing that the understanding of this phenomenon can promote the implementation of public policies adequate to address the issue, as well as the reduction of fire events especially those that promote lethality.
