This blog post draws attention to Pentecostal pioneer Charles Parham as the one person that F.F. Bosworth criticized for teaching "speaking in tongues" as the initial evidence of Spirit baptism. Bosworth said Parham was the first person in history to teach such a doctrine. Bosworth, who mentioned Parham in an "Open Letter," said the teaching was in error and that it was hurting the church.
