Blank______Photographs surveys three recent studio projects that bypass the indexical nature of the medium and instead excavate history, information, and meaning from empty photographic surfaces.

These projects bind established photographic practice with emerging imaging technologies. They look back at photography’s past, toward its possible future, and underneath its surface at the latent information that is often overlooked, but essential to our relationship with images.
