Biomimetic Models of the Active Site of the Metalloenzyme Nitrile Hydratase

In the interest of a wider dissemination of the knowledge contained therein, the author's PhD Thesis, entitled "Biomimetic Models of the Active Site of the Metalloenzyme Nitrile Hydratase" (University of Washington, Seattle, 2001), is reproduced here. To illustrate the evolution of knowledge, the author's Precandidacy (1998) and General Exam (1999) papers and a poster (2000) are included.

All of the experimental results contained within this PhD thesis have by now been reported in journal articles. However, this thesis provided room for a much more detailed presentation of the experimental results and their discussion and analysis.
