Barking up the right trees: the influence of forest fire on the genetic architecture of bark thickness in southeastern pines

Using next-generation, high-throughput sequencing, we will dissect bark thickness as a complex and adaptive, quantitative trait across populations of four closely related species with the goal of uncovering shared genetic architecture at multiple evolutionary time scales.
