Authentication of 4-chloro-2-hydroxy-biphenyl by 1HNMR, 13CNMR, and GCMS. It was synthesized from 4-chloro-2-methoxy-biphenyl in the presence of BBr3. The purity (>99%) of the compound was determined based on relative peak area by GC-MS.
