<p>Data to accompany the article 'Antipredator Defences Predict Diversification Rates'.</p> <p>Key to data: NA = missing data; 0 = absence; 1 = presence; 0/1 = polymorphic; ? = uncertain</p> <p>Key to column headings: con = conspicuous coloration; cd = chemical defence; con0 = conspicuous coloration recoded with ambiguous species considered cryptic (conspicuousness absent); con1 = conspicuous coloration recoded with ambiguous species considered conspicuous. In the latter two categories, ambiguous refers to coloration coded as either polymorphic or uncertain in the original coding ('con' column).</p> <p>The 'bin' column is simply an index to enable ordering identical to the tip labels in the phylogenetic tree used in the paper.</p> <p>References from which data were gathered are listed in the supplementary material of the paper</p>
