[The following is text from this file's README which describes data exported from Altmetric Explorer and submitted for consideration as part of a public comment on the NISO "data metrics" draft report (NISO RP-25-201x-2A Alternative Outputs in Scholarly Communications--Data Metrics.pdf).]

Created 1 June 2016

There are three reports included in this bundle:

1. zenodo_20160601.csv: contains metrics and links to full-text details pages for all online attention that items archived on the Zenodo repository have received from approximately 29 May 2013 to 1 June 2016, as tracked by Altmetric LLP across a variety of social web services [1].
2. pangea_20160601.csv: contains metrics and links to full-text details pages containing all online attention that items archived on the Pangea data repository have received from approximately 9 June 2015 to 1 June 2016, as tracked by Altmetric LLP across a variety of social web services [1].
3. figshare_dryad_20160601.csv: contains metrics and links to full-text details pages for all online attention that items archived in the figshare and Dryad data repositories have received from approximately 1 January 2012 to 1 June 2016, as tracked by Altmetric LLP across a variety of social web services [1].

Limitations:
- For multipurpose repositories (Zenodo & figshare), some outputs listed in these files may not technically be "data"--they may be white papers, presentations, or other file types. Researchers may wish to contact those repositories or use each repository's API to cross-check and limit their analyses to items designated as "data" or "datasets".
- Some data repositories may host “collections” of outputs where both the collection itself and the component outputs have their own DOIs. In these cases the attention collected by Altmetric will be associated with whichever object was linked to by the source of attention.
- figshare assigns different DOIs to each version of a dataset. After consulting with them Altmetric associates all attention with the “main” DOI for the dataset (the one without the “v1” “v2” etc. suffix)
- Altmetric LLP began collecting altmetrics for research online around 1 January 2012, so most attention seen online will have occurred between 2012 and 1 June 2016, when the above reports were generated.
