Alignment of the two N. Benthamiana INO sequences showing regions of identity. A shows alignment of the coding sequences of NbINO1 and NbINO2 and B shows alignment of genomic fragment used for VIGS. Underlined regions are long stretches of identical sequences likely to be effective for VIGS and blue regions indicate exons. Alignment was performed using an implementation of the Needleman-Wunsch algorithm [60] as implemented at http://www.ebi.ac.uk/Tools/psa/emboss_needle/nucleotide.html . (DOCX 107 kb)
