Cytotoxic effects of antibodies and control IgGs. A549 cells were treated with 10 μg/ml anti-HMGB1 or anti-RAGE antibody or control IgG for 16 h at 37 °C, and the cell viability was examined by MTT assay. Viability of the control cells was set at 100 %. Data represent means ± SD of 6 independent experiments. These antibodies did not cause significant cytotoxic effects (by ANOVA followed by Tukey’s test). (TIF 304 kb)
