Acrylic paint marbling on foams and gels

Community mobilisation strategies for an important part of public health promotion. We have developed and tested an approach using a colourful paper marbling technique with acrylic paint rather than the more usual oil and solvent based media. This method uses alginate gels which are also used in wound healing and other biomedical applications providing a link to discussing non-communicable disease (NCD) and other diseases. We are interested in raising awareness of how important community building approaches are in prevention of NCDs and have designed our science communication and outreach to do just this.
