A brief overview of adverse events in immune-based gastric cancer trials
This chapter reviews adverse events in immunotherapy trials in the latter stages of gastric cancer. It discusses the diagnostic dilemma, errors and delays reported in the literature on immune-based checkpoints, and reviews published evidence on the difficulties of distinguishing adverse events from aggressive and evolving gastric carcinomas from other gastric disease states. It proposes the use of algorithms to systematically map and monitor adverse occurrences to technological innovation.
