<p>One hundred percent protein synthesis corresponds to cells incubated with no exogenous MnCl<sub>2</sub> and no toxin. All points were assayed in triplicate and error bars indicate standard deviation. (<b>A, B</b>) Percent protein synthesis of Vero cells incubated in the presence or absence of 250 µM MnCl<sub>2</sub> for 4 hours followed by an additional 4 hour incubation at 125 µM MnCl<sub>2</sub> with increasing concentrations of either (<b>A</b>) Stx1-S or (<b>B</b>) Stx2a.</p>
