<p>This record reports µCT Images mentioned in the paper
"Fluid dynamics in the foregut of xylem-sap feeding insects: a comparative
study of two <i>Xylella fastidiosa </i>vectors", limited to the head of the two insects. In the
section materials and method of the paper are available the description of the
sample acquisition and preparation and of the images acquisition . In
particular, a SkyScan1272 was used at the MicroPhotonics facility (Micro
Photonics Inc. Allentown, PA). The beam energy was set to 50KV in a current
source of 200µA. The image pixel size resolution was 1.999974µm and pictures
were captured over a global 360°rotation sampled at steps of 0.1°.</p>

composed of archive files:</p>
<p><i>1) </i><i>BGSS_HEAD.zip</i> contains 965 µCT Images of the blue green sharpshooter (<i>G. atropunctata</i>), numbered from the basis
of the head (<i>bgss_2um__rec_tra_voi__voi_00002060.bmp</i>)
up to the top of the head (<i>bgss_2um__rec_tra_voi__voi_00003024.bmp</i>)</p>
<p><i>2) </i><i>PS_HEAD.zip</i> contains 1068 µCT Images
of the meadow spittlebug (<i>P. spumarius</i>),
numbered from the basis of the head (<i>ps_2um__rec_voi__voi__Tra_Tra00002133.jpg</i>)
up to the top of the head (<i>ps_2um__rec_voi__voi__Tra_Tra00003201.jpg</i>).</p>
