Borrowing from strategies used by historians, journalists and novelists this technique involves gathering what evidence is available, analysing it and using this analysis to inform fictional imaginings to fill in the gaps. The strategy is demonstrated in the creative work, Moses in Egypt, an Australian historical narrative which is presented in a dual-genre format of creative nonfiction and fiction, delineated by chapters. %I Monash University
