Cambodian Identity in Transition: A Family Story LAOVANTHIDA 2018 This is a study of the experiences and identity of one Cambodian family. The aim of the research is to determine how cultural identity is formed outside its country of origin and the challenges individuals face when trying to resettle elsewhere. The detailed analysis of their experiences offers increased understanding of the challenging processes of settling in a new country. It offers insight into the role of government and the resources they provide, the pressures all migrants face in adaptation and adjustment, the added stress for refugees and the roles and impact host nations have on the development of cultural identity.
