It also contributed knowledge towards understanding the measurement of return-to-work self-efficacy, the relationships between the determinants of return-to-work self-efficacy and actual return-to-work self-efficacy, and the relationship between return-to-work self-efficacy and a sustained return-to-work, across different injury types. The findings from this thesis have direct implications for the administration of workers’ compensation claims, and the identification and targeting of workers who require intervention to increase the belief in their ability to return-to-work.
