THE RESEARCH ON EDUCATION POLICY IN BRAZIL: AN ANALYSIS OF THE THEORETICAL-EPISTEMOLOGICAL ASPECTS MainardesJefferson 2018 <p></p><p>Abstract: This paper presents the results of a study that aimed at identifying the theoretical-epistemological framework used in the research on education policy, from the analysis of 140 papers published between 2010 and 2012, in seven Brazilian academic journals. The theoretical background is based on the discussions about the focus of the epistemologies of education policy and meta-research and on the concepts of combined explanatory strategies and additive theorization (McLENNAN, 1996). From the data analysis, some challenges for the research on the education policy field are presented.</p><p></p>
