cSBL showed <i>in vivo</i> cytotoxicity without inducing loss of body weight.
<p>Mice were randomly divided into 3 groups with 10 mice in each group. Groups 1, 2, and 3 were injected PBS, pemetrexed (100 mg/kg, intraperitoneally), and cSBL (2.5 mg/kg, intratumorally), respectively. Body weights and tumor sizes were measured twice per week. Tumor volumes were calculated as follows: 0.4×A×B<sup>2</sup>, where A and B represent the long and short diameters (in mm) of the tumor, respectively. Relative body weight (A, B) and relative tumor volume (C, D) are plotted as the mean of each group ± SD at each timepoint. The statistical significance of these experiments compared with PBS (*) or pemetrexed (<sup>†</sup>) is shown as follows: *P<0.05, **P<0.01, ***P<0.001, <sup>†</sup>P<0.01, <sup>†††</sup>P<0.001.</p>
