However, although the literature shows robustness, national scientific production is scarcely monitored. Due to the lack of using development indicators and the fact that there are obstacles in identifying knowledge gaps from previous studies, there are no guidelines that determine new research. In this context, this study aims to analyse the scientific production on BIM in Brazil. This is exploratory research of a bibliographic character, which presents a survey of the Brazilian scientific literature from 2000 to 2015. Using bibliometric and scientometric indicators, the highlighted contributions are (1) the temporal evolution of the bibliographic production, (2) the bibliographic production levels by researchers and production levels of researchers' educational backgrounds by region and institution (3) commonly used keywords and (4) the scientific methods used in dissertations and theses. Thus, the evolution of the scientific production in Brazil is analysed.

2017-12-05 08:50:59 Building Information Modeling BIM Bibliometrics Scientometrics Brazil
