A Multi-Model Approach to Understanding Thrombus Formation Under Varying Haemodynamic Environments PINARISAAC PAUL 2017 Blood clots usually prevent bleeding when people injure themselves however they can also adversely affect people when dislodged into unwanted regions such as the brain causing a stroke. Blood clots form differently whilst exercising or resting and can vary greatly amongst individuals. A greater understanding of the formation of these blood clots is provided taking into account the clotting behaviour of the individual. The research shown gives great insight into the underlying mechanisms which drive blood clot formation so that future medications can be specific and tailored towards an individuals clotting behaviour.
