An online survey of the attributes was completed by first‐ and final‐year undergraduates and Graduate Diploma students in the Faculty of Education</div><div>at two time points (early 2014 and late 2014 academic year). Factor analyses of the survey data resulted in (1) a 15‐item, correlated 3‐factor model of curiosity, love of learning, and answerseeking, and (2) an 8‐item unidimensional model of openness to diverse perspectives/ideas; both models exhibited measurement invariance. Mean scores of first‐ and final‐year students did not significantly differ on any of the scales. GradDips scored significantly higher than</div><div>undergraduates on some, but not all, of the scales. The only instances of change over time on the attributes were found for GradDips on love of learning and openness to diversity/ideas. Results suggest that students with a degree do have increased self‐reported endorsement of some aspects of the Graduate Profile, supporting the contention that having completed a degree assists in the acquisition of desirable personal attributes.</div> 2017-10-10 01:50:01 survey research graduate attributes Higher Education Personality, Abilities and Assessment
