"The effect of extensional flow on shear viscosity", PhD thesis, The University Of Sheffield, Sheffield UK.The thesis can be found at the following reference:http://etheses.whiterose.ac.uk/id/eprint/18327 The organisation of the data within the compressed archive, additional experimental parameters, and details on reading the data (where appropriate) are described in the appendix of the thesis. Briefly, "Oblique" contains fluorescence intensity data (interface.csv) and manually tracked particle vectors (track.csv) as attempted in section 8.1 of the thesis for an obliquely inclined lens system. "Verification" contains stacked/aligned tracer image pairs (.b16 files), outputted cross correlated vector fields (.dat files) and generated filtered/fitted data (.csv files) for the silicone oil - Newtonian solution verification work in section 8.2 of the thesis. "Run 1", "Run 2" and "Run 3" contain equivalent data on runs 1 to 3 of the silicone oil - PEO solution system examined in section 8.3 of the thesis. "Videos" contains some footage of the experiment demonstrating the flow stability: two close up videos and one timelapse recording taken of the expansion region of the experiment during run 2. ER -
