Export Behaviour Modeling Using EvoNF Approach Edwards, Ron Abraham, Ajith Petrovic-Lazarevic, Sonja 10.4225/03/5938c0ea1b2c4 https://bridges.monash.edu/articles/journal_contribution/Export_Behaviour_Modeling_Using_EvoNF_Approach/5090596 The academic literature suggests that the extent of exporting by multinational corporation subsidiaries (MCS) depends on their product manufactured, resources, tax protection, customers and markets, involvement strategy, financial independence and suppliers' relationship with a multinational corporation (MNC). The aim of this paper is to model the complex export pattern behaviour using a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy inference systems in order to determine the actual volume of MCS export output (sales exported). The proposed fuzzy inference system (FIS) is optimised by using neural network learning and evolutionary computation. Empirical results clearly show that the proposed approach could model the export behaviour reasonable well compared to a direct neural network approach. 2017-06-08 02:33:49 export behaviour neural networks Fuzzy systems 2003 evolutionary computation 1959.1/2432 hybrid systems monash:2432 multinational corporation subsidiary
