All-polymer solar cells which employ semiconducting polymers to generate electricity have seen a phenomenal rise in their performance over the past few years. The thesis focuses on developing high efficiency all-polymer solar systems and studying the photo-physical processes along with device physics to build a solid understanding in processes that govern their performance.
