These slides were made and compiled by Joana Leitao from the Computational Cognitive Neuroimaging group from the University of Birmingham (UK).<div><br></div><div>They cover some of the basic mathematical concepts necessary to understand fMRI analysis:</div><div>- basic linear algebra</div><div>- the ordinary least square solution of the general linear model</div><div>- convolution and the brain as a linear time invariant system</div><div>- examples of typical design matrices (t-test, ANOVA...)<br><br>Over the years we have found them very useful and wanted to put them there hoping they could help others.</div>
