<p>The majority of the 79,569 goats removed cost between US$10–100 per goat to remove. The final goats, however, cost over $10,000 per goat. Technologies and tools targeted at cost-effectively removing the final animals of an eradication campaign could deliver in substantial savings to island restoration programs.</p>
