Fischer, Frank Göbel, Mathias Kittel, Christopher Character networks from 842 French plays, in chronological order 250 years of drama history at a glance: character networks from 842 French plays, in chronological order. Extracted (via XQuery) from TEI-encoded files of the "Théâtre Classique" project (downloaded from https://github.com/dramacode/theatre-classique). Visualised with our own tool, "dramavis". Highlighted authors include: (Pierre) Corneille, Molière, Racine, Crébillon père, Voltaire, Euripides. The plays of the latter have negative year numbers, which is why they are grouped at the end. Plus, some of the metadata is erroneous. We didn't correct any of it, this was just a test run to demonstrate that "dramavis" works with other corpora than our own.
