Live cell imaging of PC3 prostate cancer cells after GFP-EN2 transfection PuniaNatasha 2016
Engrailed-2 (EN2) is a developmental protein re-expressed in prostate cancer. EN2 can secrete out of the cell and be internalised by another. It's function in cancer is largely unknown. The live cell imaging was carried out to observe its behaviour, particularly in cell-cell communication. Prostate cancer cells (PC3) were transiently transfected with GFP-EN2. Live cell imaging was carried out using a 35mm glass-bottom dish and a confocal microscope for 24 hours. The chambered confocal microscope was heated to 37 degrees and supplemented with CO2.

This work was carried out at The University of Surrey.
