Doble, Rick Woman In Motion: A Show and Explanation of Early Digital/Computer Photography Before Digital Cameras By Rick Doble Woman In Motion is a show of Rick Doble's early computer photography starting around 1986 that reworked the photographs of Eadweard Muybridge taken in the 1880s. Doble digitized and then colorized individual frames from Muybridge's photographs of human movement. Writing many of the programs himself for an early desktop computer, Doble edited and then enhanced the natural shots of women moving as they did a variety of tasks. These images were later shown in a number of gallery and museum exhibits, published in art magazines and reprinted in exhibits on the web.
