The Benefits of Blogging and Social Media - ALLA 2016 Conference Presentation Michelle De Aizpurua 10.4225/03/57D255CCD6F84 https://bridges.monash.edu/articles/online_resource/The_Benefits_of_Blogging_and_Social_Media_-_ALLA_2016_Conference_Presentation/3814215 This short presentation focused on the benefits of blogging and social media for law librarians. <div><br></div><div>Michelle looked at how Monash approaches the use of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as the Monash Library blog. </div><div><br></div><div>She also discussed her work as a volunteer content officer for the International Librarians Network, where she writes discussion topics to structure the peer mentoring program. </div><div><br></div><div>Michelle further looked at writing a personal library blog and the benefits of reflective practice. <div><p>Overall, the main benefits were shown to be around sharing knowledge, connecting, learning and reflecting.
