direct hydrogenation of pyridines was successfully
realized by using homogeneous borane catalysts generated from alkenes
and HBÂ(C6F5)2 via in situ hydroboration.
The reaction affords a broad range of piperidines in high yields with
excellent cis stereoselectivities.
