This chapter presents a case study on diachronic change in the nominal collocational profiles of two near-synonymous temperature adjectives in English, i.e. hot and warm, over the last one and a half centuries (1860s-2000s). The main aim is to capture such diachronic distribution by means of a visualisation technique called Motion Chart on the basis of data from the Corpus of Historical American English (COHA).
