One-pot reaction of in situ–formed benzopyran-substituted pyridinium ylides with aromatic aldehydes and dimedone gives corresponding 2,3-dihydrofurans in good yields. The structures of all the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed from their analytical and spectral data.</p> </div>
