A new genus with a new species of the tribe Hoplocampini of Hoplocampinae is described from China: Analcellicampa xanthosoma Wei & Niu, gen. et sp. nov. Hoplocampa danfengensis G. Xiao, 1994 is designed as the type species of the new genus. Analcellicampa danfengensis (G. Xiao) is a new combination and is briefly described and illustrated. A key to genera of Hoplocampinae is provided. The almost complete mitochondrial genome of A. xanthosoma has been obtained with length of 14,820 bp and a set of 34 genes (19 tRNAs, 13 PCGs, 2 rRNAs). The gene order of the 34 genes as well as the non-coding region (control region) was the same as ancestral type. All protein-coding genes (PCGs) were initiated by ATN codons, and ended with TAA or T as a stop codon. All tRNAs had a typical clover-leaf secondary structure, except trnS1. Helix 991 of rrnS and Helix 47 of rrnL were redundant. Helix 563 of rrnL was highly conserved. Phylogenetic reconstruction based on mitochondrial genomes showed similarly high support (100%) from both BI analyses and ML analyses on the result that A. xanthosoma was the sister group to Monocellicampa pruni. We suggested that A. xanthosoma belongs to the tribe Hoplocampini of Hoplocampinae as well as M. pruni.
