Research Staff Member (Research, science and technology policy)

Washington DC

I am a Research Staff Member at the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STPI), a federally funded research and development center aimed at providing rigorous and objective analyses for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and other offices and councils within the executive branch of the U.S. Federal government. Prior to STPI, I was a postdoctoral scholar at the Center for Nanotechnology in Society at the University of California, Santa Barbara where my research focused on China S&T policy issues, global migration of talent, and STEM. I hold a PhD in Ecology, Evolution and Marine Biology and a MA in Applied Statistics and Probability from UCSB. I am a big proponent of open science and data sharing. If you are interested in my research or have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
