Waiting time for ATG in random sequence

I used my random sequence generator to create 5000 random sequences with even nucleotide distribution. I then determined the position of the first occurrence of "ATG" in each sequence and plotted the distribution of these positions. The mean position (63.41) was very close to the expected waiting time (64) from the analytical solution.
