Trends in Reporting Delays to United States Central Cancer Registries
An evaluation of reporting delay to 10 US cancer registries (the SEER 9 registries plus New York) from 1999-2010 reveals solid downward trends in the amount of delay, which equates to better-quality data. Leukemia and myeloma continue to lag as these sites can be diagnosed and treated outside a hospital setting.
