Synthesis, Structure, and Luminescent Property of a 1D Zn(II) Polymer with a Rigid Dicarboxylate

A new polymer of [Zn(cca)(H₂O)₂]_n (1) (H₂cca = 4-carboxycinnamic acid) has been synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal diffraction analysis. The structural determination revealed that 1 has 1-D chain motif, which can be further linked into 2D layer via the H-bonded interactions. In addition, the luminescent behavior shows the emissive power and feature.
